Behind the Scenes: Filming Mark Ruffalo in Central Park

While we are already deep into editing Dear President Obama, we have been shooting a few more scenes as needed. This weekend, we shot Executive Producer and Narrator Mark Ruffalo in Central Park.

As anyone who’s visited Central Park will know, it’s a beautiful juxtaposition of nature and artificiality — the lush foliage and dense treelines giving way to towering skyscrapers of glass and steel. It was the perfect backdrop for Ruffalo’s explanation of why our future, and indeed, our present, must embrace renewable energy. Otherwise our economy and society will be spending all its effort on erecting defenses to climate change, instead of erecting the kinds of monuments to human progress that form the backdrop of Central Park.

Enjoy our behind-the-scenes photos, which also include DPO Producer/Director Jon Bowermaster, Editor/Director of Photography Chris Rahm and Assistant Director of Photography Devin Pickering:
